Are you in a situation where you are losing money in your martial arts business, and are in urgent need to generate revenue? The first thing to do is to keep track of your metrics. If you are not tracking your metrics, you are just simply toying around with the whole idea of running a martial arts school, and are not ready for the next step. You can even start by taking a sticky note and writing down every time you generate a lead, and keep all of your notes inside of a notepad and total it up at the end of the month.
The second thing that you have to do once you start tracking your metrics is to not wait until the end of the month to make a decision, if you want to go from having a massive loss in the month to having a massive profit in the month. Jennifer Waters does this in her flagship school; if a strategy is not working the way they want it to work, they do not wait until the end of the month, instead they make the decisions week to week, or day to day, to change directions. Regardless of whether you have a large business with multiple locations or just a small school, in all situations you have to take massive action if you want to impact the direction that your business is going monetarily for that month. You do not want to waste time by taking a small step, because when you are losing money, you are in a negative already. So for example, once you start noticing that you are really behind in leads, you need to take massive actions to get more leads.
Finally, the last action you need to take in order to win for the month, is you need to have a ‘Do whatever it takes’ mentality. While you may think it is necessary to have some balance and some family time, while being under a loss is not the time for it. You can do all those things when you are having profits month after month after month. But when you are in the negatives monetarily in your martial arts business, you do not have time for balance. You need to do whatever it takes, whether that means working really late on Saturday night, or posting whatever you need to post, or waking up really early on Sunday. If you want to experience these massive gains when you are losing money, you must do whatever it takes to make it happen.
