All martial arts school owners are constantly looking for opportunities to generate a huge injection of revenue. How about generating over $120k of revenue in just 30 days? That’s a very short time frame, but it is definitely achievable! Jennifer Waters, the sales and systems sensei, successfully enrolled 61 students in 30 days and generated over $120,000 of revenue inside her martial arts dojo. She breaks down the three key points that you can use to increase your monthly revenue.
The first key is pre-planning in advance. Thirty days is a short time frame, so to make those days a success, it is going to take a lot of preparations in the months leading up to it. A number of things will have to be put in motion months in advance. Most of the martial arts business owners who are transitioning from having a side hustle for their passion for martial arts into having a profitable martial arts business, fail to take this into account. They simply continue to follow their daily routine of showing up for classes, and training, and then locking up and going home. They do not really have the thought process of planning in advance in place yet. So that is the first step, plan from thirty or ninety days before, and have a well thought-out strategy in place for the epic month that you want to have. You need to plan it out, and have some action steps associated with it. For the big month in Waters’ school, this planning included how they were going to generate the leads necessary and convert them over into enrolled students, and also included training their team to prepare for the foreseeable themes that they would have to overcome when people came in to participate in an introductory lesson.
The next step in order to generate the cash revenue was to ensure that their pricing would be on-point for the market. They did not randomly pick numbers out of the air; it was decided by studying the data that they had collected from years of selling martial arts. The program was structured in such a way that it was the right length of time, the right price point, and the right timing for the market that they were currently in. Hence research plays a fundamental role in getting the pieces of the puzzle correctly. If you are just deciding to sell your services for any random price, you are failing to do justice to your service.
